Newburg CPA’s Accounting Internship Program
At Newburg CPA, our internship program is built to provide meaningful, real-world experience in a supportive and team-oriented environment. We welcome driven students to join us during our busy season (January–April) to explore the diverse world of public accounting.

Ideal Candidates
We look for self-starters who are curious, collaborative, and show an eagerness to learn.
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s in accounting
- Minimum 3.0 GPA overall and in your major
- Completed at least two accounting courses
- Strong communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
What You’ll Gain
As an intern, you’ll rotate across departments and assist in real client work—preparing tax returns, supporting audits, and helping with business accounting processes. This hands-on experience provides an invaluable look into what it’s like to work at a mid-sized public accounting firm during its busiest season.
When We Hire
Recruitment for our winter internship program typically takes place between August and October. Interns begin in January and work through April.
Our internship program is currently closed for tax year 2026.
